This accident, which from the beginning, placed Michelle in an already vulnerable, public position, was made much worse by the need of some individuals to distance themselves from ever being in her position. It is far easier to place blame elsewhere, then to attempt, even for a moment, to imagine it was one of us, on that road that night.

Things are not always black and white though and Michelle, along with all of the others involved, had no way of knowing how their actions that night, would ultimately contribute to the outcome.

Michelle has taken, and will continue for the rest of her life, to take responsibility for her actions that night. She, and we, her family, will attempt to go on with our very changed lives, knowing this.

We continue to hope that Tyler, Nikko and any other individuals involved, continue to heal Physically and Emotionally. We hope they can find some peace, and that they are able to live their lives knowing the blessings that they possess.
